Finance Department

The Finance Department in the City of Bel Aire is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the financial affairs of the City. Responsibilities of the Finance Department include research, accounting, assisting in the development of the annual budget, coordinating the annual audit, purchasing, risk management and providing financial management support to all the City's departments.

Budgeting

The annual budget is one of the most important documents that the City produces. The budget sets the City's taxation rate for the next year as well as the spending priorities and projects. Bel Aire's fiscal year runs from January 1st to December 31st of each year. The budgeting process begins in April and continues until the adoption of the budget in August.
