Bel Aire Lions Club
A new chapter of the International Lions Club has begun in the Bel Aire Area. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Bel Aire Senior Center from 12 pm to 1 pm. About the Lions Club
Formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1917, the Lions Club International focused on giving back to the community through the volunteer service. Though the Lions Club is known chiefly for their efforts end preventable blindness, the Club has branched out to provide a wide variety of services ranging from rebuilding playgrounds to providing emergency aid to natural disaster victims. With over 1.4 million members in 205 countries worldwide, the Lions Club is truly and international effort.
Upcoming EventsAll You Can Eat SupperThe Bel Aire Lions Club is planning a special "All You Can Eat Spaghetti Supper" fund raiser with the Breakfast and East Southeast Lions Club for Saturday, March 6, 2010. The supper will be at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 200 North Clifton in Wichita, KS from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PMShredder DayThe Bel Aire Lions Club will sponsor their 1st Shredding Day for all Bel Aire residents on Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. This special event will be held in the west parking lot at City Hall, just outside the Senior Center west door. Please prepare to bring your paper items and dump the in the supplied 95 gal. Poly Cart that Stutzman Refuse will be providing that day. Then stick around and watch their mobile unit shred away. You do NOT need to bring any carboard, NO plastic bags and NO recycle material that you normally recycle at home.
