Police Receive Equipment Funding from Target
The Bel Aire Police Department received funding from Target's Loss Prevention Community Grant Program to purchase new training equipment. District representatives from Target presented BAPD with a check for $1,000 on January 12th, in a small ceremony at City Hall. The $1,000 grant was used to purchase a new 42" flat screen TV, a new DVD/VHS player and accessories. Improvements made to the BAPD training facility will not only assist in officer training, but will also aid the department in monitoring severe weather conditions, developing emergency situations and media coverage of important events. The Bel Aire Police Department would like to thank Target for its continuing support of local law enforcement and commitment to building stronger communities. For more information about this and other grants the Police Department has received, check out the February edition of the Bel Aire Breeze.
